A Word for 2026: Obedience

This year, God is calling His people to a place of obedience 💫. Throughout the Bible, we learn that obedience 💫 :

• Leads to blessings and favor in abundance and overflow for you and the generations to follow. 
• Leads to freedom.
• Causes you to be in right standing with God.

Need proof? Let’s look to some Scriptures:

• Leviticus 26: 3-5 → “‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.” 
• Leviticus 26: 9-10 → “I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new.” 
• Deuteronomy 28: 1 → “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.”
• Deuteronomy 28: 3-8 → “You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.”
• Isaiah 1:19 → “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.” 
• Luke 11:28 – “He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” 

It does not get any better than that! There are countless more Scriptures that prove what the outcome of obedience 💫 will look like for believers. 

Throughout my own spiritual journey, I have also learned that obedience 💫:

• Literally destroys the hands of the enemy.
• Gives you authority overall all power of the enemy.
• Gives you peace.
• Breaks strongholds.
• Sharpens your spiritual discernment.

It is not always an easy and fun walk, but it has always been worth it.

God is not asking His children to be perfect Christians but to be ones who have a heart to please and serve Him. A heart that acknowledges the mistakes made and turns “from their wicked ways” (2 Chronicles 7:14). A heart that desires to be a light in this generation that is consumed by darkness.

Let 2026 be a year of obedience 💫 for you. Looking to other people and other things for acceptance when you already have the approval of the One above is not the way to go. If you want to experience something different, try something different. Turn to God and rely on His strength in times of weakness and disappointments this year, and the years to follow. 

Healing, freedom, deliverance, peace, prosperity, and breakthrough could all be yours with the very act of OBEDIENCE 💫!!
