    Dry Season

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”  10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.”  11 So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.” Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” 12 So he sent for him and had…

    It’s All A Part of God’s Plan

Ever since last year, but moreso this year, I have been growing weary in my singleness. The pain of loneliness and the tears of sadness would constantly overtake me. When I was in my early 20s, I had the desire to be married and have children (at least one) by no later than age 27/28.  When I started this ministry, SingleChronicles7, at 25 years old in September 2020, I was still very much single but I also was beginning to feel content in my singleness. I loved my singleness and took that step of faith to share my journey with you here on my website and through my other…

    Let Your Faith Arise

Scripture tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is about having complete trust and confidence in someone or even something without physical, tangible proof. In Biblical sense, it is about trusting God even when your circumstances look far from able. It is not always easy walking this thing called faith when you haven’t seen much change in the area that you are desperately wanting a miracle and breakthrough in but that is not the open door for you to lose your faith. If you are struggling in your faith today, your obedience and relying on Scripture…

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone & Step Out on Faith

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. (2 Timothy 1:7, AMP).   One thing about having a business is being able to market yourself through advertisement and getting out there. As a school psychologist, I spend more than half of my career sitting in meetings with lawyers/attorneys, advocates, supervisors, family members, and friends. I have been in meetings where it has been recorded. And can I tell you that that does not scare me?…

    Why Settle?

These past few months have taught me so many things as I continue to navigate this season of singleness with God, and I want to share it with you.    Forgiveness One of the things that I have learned has been to be quick to forgive yourself just as God has the moment you ask Him. This scripture, “As far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12),” brings so much healing to me. God forgives us immediately and remembers our sin no more (Hebrews 8:12).  The moment we mess up, our immediate response is to hide and run away…

Why She Still May Be Single in 2024

When you have that intimate and personal relationship with God, you should know that your dating and relationship standards should not be according to the world but according to the Word. One thing that I continue to learn on my singleness journey is to never be afraid of singleness but rather, be afraid of wasting your time committing to a pointless relationship. Even developing a friendship with someone who you know likes you but is not what God has for you is time wasted. You want to be able to grow closer towards God and your goals as you matriculate in life. Anything less is a distraction.  As we embark…
