You’re Different. Embrace It.
SingleChronicles7 came from a place of singleness and purity. The reason why I developed this platform was because I wanted to encourage others who are in the same boat as me. I wanted others to know that it is possible to follow Christ, be single, maintain your purity, and still enjoy your life to the fullest. I have met people who have felt the need to conform to society to be well-liked and fit in. Rather than embrace their difference and set apartness, they want to blend in so that they do not stick out like a sore thumb. They go along with the crowd because it is much easier. What many do not realize is that no matter how hard you try to follow everyone else, it will always be a struggle. People will know that you are not like everyone else. That is because of your anointing.
When you walk with God, even if you may not be the most devoted Christ-follower, you will have a difficult time doing the things others do simply because God already created you, even before you were formed in your mother’s womb, to be set apart (Jeremiah 1:5). The journey of being one with God is not always going to be easy. You will go through some things. You will face difficulties. However, no matter what tries to come against you, it will not prevail (Isaiah 54:17). Blessings come from walking in obedience even through the trials and tribulations.
As you go higher in God, the enemy is going to be after you. Everything that you live and stand for, the enemy is going to go after. For example, I desire to wait until marriage for physical intimacy. God knows that but so does the enemy. Because of that, the enemy has sent counterfeits my way. He has sent people who questioned my own walk. The enemy knows how to use people to steer me and you away from our calling. He will introduce things into your life that you have no business entertaining all for the sole purpose of making you fall.
Furthermore, the enemy is going to try you. He wants to destroy you (John 10:10). He wants you to be a walking contradiction so that people can say that God is a liar. He does not want you to be a light so he is going to send things your way, and that is why the Scripture tells us to be on guard [Control yourselves. Be on your guard. Your enemy the devil is like a roaring lion. He prowls around looking for someone to chew up and swallow. (1 Peter 5:8)]. Stay prayed up and continue pursuing God. When you submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee (James 4:7).
